A sparkling specimen of chromian vesuvianite with a grass-green color (the rarest and most desirable color) to apple-green areas from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The sharp pointy terminated crystals have a rich color and are gem. They have glassy lustrous faces which strongly reflect the light, giving superb sparkling appearance. A marvelous green vesuvianite from this great now closed mine. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.
Cool chromian vesuvianite!
