A pleasing specimen of tourmaline var. elbaite crystal decorated with quartz from Minas Gerais, Brazil. The elbaite has an elegant elongated prismatic shape and a good luster. The color is very dark and when back lighted it is rich olive-green and gemmy. Above grow colorless quartz with some smaller elbaite crystals. In very good condition – some small contacts on the quartz. On acrylic base.
