Striking red, prismatic realgar crystals from No. 5 Mine, Baia Sprie, Romania. It displays to 10mm crystals growing in a dense cluster. The realgar has a rich red color with some orange nuances. The faces are lustrous and the crystals are sharp. Some are doubly terminated. A superb presentation of realgar from this famous and closed now mine. In very good condition – some minor damages. On acrylic base.
