A superb specimen of kolwezite over richly fuchsia colored dolomite var. cobaltoan dolomite covering calcite crystals from Kansalawile Mine, Tenke-Fungurume area, Congo - Kinshasa. It displays small, sharp, rhombohedral calcite base. Cobaltoan dolomite layer covers the calcite. It is with an amazing and vivid fuchsia color. Above are seen green kolwezite clusters with a botryoidal habit. Kolwezite is a rare anhydrous Cu-Co carbonate. This is a unique combo of two highly sought-after minerals. In good condition – some contacts. On acrylic base.
