An exceptional thumbnail specimen of gem grossular garnet crystals from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The grossular crystals grow one atop another in a stalactite like structure. They are extremely transparent, gem quality with a superb luster and rich orange color. They are up to 5mm with a sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit. Diopside needle is included in the core. It displays beautifully all over 360 degree – a complete floater. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition. On acrylic base.
Gorgeous jewel!
