A beautiful specimen of high quality dioptase crystals to 3mm from Kandesei, Kaokoveld Plateau, Namibia. The dioptases are strongly glassy lustrous with a marvelous bright emerald-green color and very sharp, perfectly terminated crystals. Some are doubly terminated. The quality is superb - the crystals are gemmy with marvelous neon-green nuances. The crystals grow on a transparent colorless quartz base. Some shattuckite gives blue hue to the quartz. In excellent condition. On acrylic base.
