An exceptional thumbnail specimen of extremely rare pink-peach colored grossular garnet crystals to 6mm from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The garnets form a cluster of extremely glassy, transparent, completely gem and water clear crystals. They have a superb luster and fascinating pink-peach color. Some small crystals at the outside edges are completely colorless. The garnets are with a perfect and razor sharp rhombic dodecahedral crystal habit. Some small green diopside crystals are seen too. The gorgeous color combined with the amazing gemminess make it superb specimen from this closed mine. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some contacts at the outside edges. On acrylic base.
It is truly a chance to have such rare beauty!
