A pleasing specimen of gem hessonite garnets decorated with clinochlore from Bellecombe, Aosta Valley, Italy. The hessonite crystals to 4mm are gem with rich and saturated red-orange color. They have a sharp crystallization with strong luster and nicely reflect the light. Green clinochlore rosettes add a nice accent. In very good condition – some outside edge contacts and small nicks. On acrylic base.
