A cute specimen displaying gem spessartine garnets with quartz crystals, standing attractively over the white base of feldspar from Tongbei, Fujian Province, China. The spessartine crystals to 5 mm have a rich red color. They have a sharp trapezohedral habit and a glassy luster. The quartz crystals are sharp, lustrous, transparent and clear with a light smoky color. In very good condition – back small nicks and contacts.
