An uncommon style garnet var. grossular crystals from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The grossular crystals are translucent to 2mm. They are white with a rhombic dodecahedral habit and a good luster. White pectolite sprays of needle crystals add a nice accent. Found in 2014. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.
Nice!
