A fascinating specimen of bi-color vesuvianite crystals from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. They have from a rich purple color to apple-green areas. The crystals are gemmy, with a strong glassy luster and are well shaped. They are doubly terminated. Tabular colorless diopside crystals are seen too. They are sharp, lustrous and transparent. It displays attractively from all sides. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.
Marvelous!
