A splendid specimen of transparent quartz crystals over blue shattuckite and chrysocolla from Sonora, Mexico. The secondary copper silicate shattuckite has a pleasing blue color to dark blue below the quartz. Above grow sharp, lustrous and water clear quartz crystals. Due to the high quartz transparency the blue shattuckite at the base is well visible and it gives a nice colorfulness. Light blue chrysocolla is seen too. In very good condition – some outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.
