A pretty specimen of gemmy dioptase crystal from a recent find in this uncommon locality - Loutete, Bouenza Department, Republic of Congo - Brazzaville. The dioptase is strongly lustrous with a gorgeous dark emerald-green color and very sharp, perfectly doubly terminated crystal. The quality is superb - the crystal is gemmy with marvelous neon-green nuances. It sits on a small calcite base and it forms an excellent focal point. It displays attractively all over 360 degree. In excellent condition – some minor nicks. On acrylic base.
