A beautiful specimen of rhodochrosite crystals sitting aesthetically at the tip of a quartz needle from the famous Sweet Home Mine, Alma, Colorado, USA. This is an old specimen. It displays translucent rhodochrosite crystals. They have a cherry-red color. The crystals are with a sharp rhombohedral shape. The faces are matt. The deposit has produced these treasures long time ago and pieces like this have always been scarce. It displays all over 360 degree. In very good condition – some minor nicks and small imperfections. On acrylic base.
