Killer skeletal galena crystals from a small recent find in Krushev dol mine, Madan ore field, Bulgaria. The mines in Madan produce some of the finest galena in the world and this is a superb specimen. It displays very attractive stepped growth, forming gorgeous terraced structures of spinel law twins. The crystals are razor sharp, well formed, super flat galena twins with an excellent brilliance and light reflection. The morphology is very unusual and it resembles more of hematite or acanthite. Minor sparkling chalcopyrite crystals are seen too. It shows attractively all over 360 degree. In excellent condition. On acrylic base.
Astonishing!
