A beautiful specimen of dioptase crystals over white calcite from this famous locality – Tsumeb Mine, Namibia. The dioptase crystals to 4 mm are brilliantly lustrous with an intense emerald-green color. Many of them are doubly terminated. The crystals are gemmy with marvelous neon green nuances. They grow on sharp rhombohedral calcite crystals. A second generation of small, sparkling calcite crystals grows on the back side dioptases.  The contrast is very strong with a wonderful colorfulness. It displays attractively on both sides. In excellent condition – some side contacts. On acrylic base.
