A beautiful specimen of babingtonite crystals over prehnite from Roncari Quarry, Hartford County, Connecticut, USA. It comes from the collection of Stephen J. Gerome, MA, USA, with a label. The babingtonite crystals are very well shaped with a black color. The main 12mm crystal is doubly terminated. It forms an aesthetic focal point at the top. The green prehnite forms two habits - radial crystals over botryoidal spheres. The contrast is strong. In excellent condition. On acrylic base.
