A marvelous specimen of serandite, albite, aegirine, catapleiite pseudomorph, manganoneptunite and polylithionite from the famous Poudrette quarry, Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada. The six minerals intergrow together. Serandite cubic crystals with a classic rich salmon-pink color and a good luster are seen all over. Black aegirine blades with a good luster and colorless albite plates give an aesthetic finish and a strong contrast. Tan colored catapleiite pseudomorph after sodalite or eudialyte is seen too. Manganoneptunite crystal with a dark red color grows on the catapleiite pseudomorph. The polylithionite rosettes on the back are shiny and light reflective. It displays attractively all over 360 degree. For references see the 1990 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 21, # 4. In good condition – some contacts. On acrylic base.
Rich 6 minerals piece!
