A killer crystal of super gem grossular garnet var. tsavorite from the famous Merelani Hills, Tanzania.  The tsavorite is a very rare, green, chromium or vanadium variety of grossular. It displays a 12mm big, vitreous, clear, transparent and gem tsavorite with a glassy luster. The crystal is 9 carats (1.8 grams). It has a rich green color and razor sharp rhombic dodecahedral crystal habit.  The clarity of the crystal is amazing. Some graphite is seen at the base. Complete all over 360 degree. In excellent condition – some minor nicks. On acrylic base.
