A fascinating specimen of bi-color vesuvianite crystals from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. They have from a rich purple color to apple-green areas. The crystals are gem, with a strong glassy luster and are well shaped. Tabular, caramel colored diopside crystals are seen too. They are sharp, lustrous and transparent. It displays attractively all over 360 degree. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some minor nicks and contacts. On acrylic base.
Gorgeous!
