A marvelous specimen of skeletal galena decorating attractively quartz plate with chalcopyrite and sphalerite from 9th Septemvri mine, Madan ore field, Bulgaria. Very neat and geometrical arrangement of stacked and aligned galena crystals overgrowing each other. Excellent parallel growth of cubes and elongated tetragonal prisms on different axes. They grow one atop other forming amazing terraced structures. The faces are matt lustrous. One dominant quartz crystal forms an excellent focal point at the center. It is transparent, sharp and lustrous. Small yellow chalcopyrite crystals and black sphalerite are seen too. In very good condition – some small nicks and contacts.
