A sculptural specimen of descloizite from Berg Aukas, Namibia, which has produced the world’s finest specimens for the species. It comes from the collection of Stephen Gerome, MA, USA with a label It displays crystals forming attractive flattened rosettes growing in a very three dimensional manner. They are waxy lustrous and light reflective. The color is dark brown. Above grow some small reddish crystals of calcite or dolomite, which gives a superb contrast.
