An amazing specimen of two marcasite stalactites growing in a beautiful V shape from Linwood Mine, Scott Co., Iowa, USA. It displays sharp, metallic marcasite crystals with a strong luster. They are symmetrically twinned. In addition the marcasite is crystallized in elongated clusters. It is slightly iridescent. Small white calcite crystals grow above. It shows on both sides. In excellent condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.
