An exceptional specimen of pyrite pseudomorph after marcasite with a second generation of epitaxial pyrite from this now closed zinc mine, famous for pyrite - Nanisivik Mine, Nunavut Territory, Canada. The primary sharp tabular marcasite crystals are completely pseudomorphed by sparkling pyrite. At the corners and above are seen epitaxially orientated pyrite crystals. The color is bright brassy-yellow and the crystal sparkle strongly. In very good condition – some small contacts.
Outstanding connoisseur pseudomorph!
