A perfect crystal of lustrous garnet var. andradite var. melanite from Kayes Region, Mali. One dominant 30mm crystal is decorated with smaller ones. The melanites are black with a sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit and a strong luster. They have pretty beveled edges. The specimen is complete all over. In good condition – some small nicks and contacts.
