Rare gemmy manganoneptunite crystals decorating catapleiite pseudomorph base with serandite from this great locality - Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada. The tan colored catapleiite pseudomorph after sodalite or eudialyte forms the base. Two rich wine-red manganoneptunite crystals to 3mm grow above. They have a sharp shape, good luster and they are gemmy. Small salmon pink serandite crystals are seen too. For references see the 1990 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 21, # 4.
