An exceptional specimen of diamonds like and rare colorless grossular garnets to 1,5mm decorating the tips of diopside needles from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The garnet crystals are very glassy, completely transparent, gem quality with superb luster and water clear. They have a perfect and razor sharp rhombic decahedral crystal habit. The garnets are scattered on white diopside needles growing in radial sprays. The diopside has some green hue. The amazing grossulars clarity and gemminess make them appear like diamonds sparkling on the tips of the needles. A remarkable specimen from this closed mine. It displays attractively from all sides. For references see the issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition.
It is truly a chance to have such rare beauty!
