Gorgeous and very rare combination of extremely sparkling garnet var. grossular crystals with grass green phantoms, decorated with prehnite from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The grossular crystals to 1mm are gem, with rich green cores, which are result of Chromium, surrounded by transparent, colorless areas. They have rhombic dodecahedral, sharp crystallization, glassy luster and irresistible color. One hone-yellow prehnite cube sits attractively at the top. The specimen displays on both sides. Very hard to find one of these now – the mine is closed. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.
Astonishing glowing green gems!
