Killer small specimen of gem grossular garnet with inclusions of diopside needles from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The grossular crystals are extremely transparent, gem quality with a superb luster and rich orange color. They are up to 7mm with sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit. The dominant crystal at the top forms a superb focal point. It displays beautifully all over 360 degree. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition - some micro nicks. On acrylic base.
Amazing jewel!
