Wonderful specimen of skeletal galena with quartz and calcite, from 9th Septemvri mine, Madan ore field, Bulgaria. Very attractive and geometrical arrangement of stacked and aligned galena overgrowing each other. Excellent parallel growth of cubes and elongated tetragonal prisms on different axes. They grow one atop another forming amazing terraced structure. The faces are matt. The galena cubes are with parallel truncated corners. Transparent quartz crystals are covered with a white carbonate. Small calcite crystals with brown inclusions are seen all over. In superb condition.
