Attractive and uncommon example of Rhodochrosite from this famous locality - Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada. It displays nicely intergrowing crystals with a red-brown color and rhombohedral habit. They have a sharp shape with strong luster. Some black Aegirine crystals are seen too. For references see the 1990 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 21, # 4. In very good condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.
Unusual Rhodochrosite!
