Unique specimen of an epitaxially orientated Pyrite pseudomorph after Marcasite from this now closed zinc mine, famous for Pyrite - Nanisivik Mine, Nunavut Territory, Canada. The primary sharp tabular Marcasite crystals are completely pseudomorphed by sparkling Pyrite. The color is bright brassy-yellow and the crystals are strongly light reflective. Some natural cracks. On acrylic base.
Exceptional connoisseur pseudomorph!
