Superb specimen of gem Spessartine Garnet from Navegadora Mine, Brazil. The crystal is 38.9 carats (7.7 grams). It is transparent and glassy with incredible deep wine-red color when back lighted. The luster is very strong with stepped pattern of the faces and skeletal features. It has striking gem quality. Better in person. In excellent condition. With acrylic base – not glued.
