Very rare specimen of Barroisite-Hornblende series from a new find in this uncommon locality - Kanarata quarry, Hlyabovo, Bulgaria. A scientific research article was published about the minerals in the find. Barroisite is rare sodium-calcium amphibole. It displays green needle crystal, very delicate and thin needles to dense hairs. All of them are formed by Na-Ca Barroisite and Ca-Mg Hornblende series. Often the same crystal has Barroisite and Hornblende. Greener crystals are mainly Hornblende and the more delicate hairs are Barroisite. In excellent condition.
