Beautiful specimen of skeletal Galena decorated attractively with Chalcopyrite “flower” and Sphalerite from 9th Septemvri mine, Madan ore field, Bulgaria. It displays very neat and geometrical arrangement of stacked and aligned Galena crystals overgrowing each other. Excellent parallel growth of cubes and elongated tetragonal prisms on different axes. They grow one atop another forming amazing terraced structure. Some Galenas are twinned. The faces are matt lustrous. Yellow Chalcopyrite crystals in a cluster grow above. They form an excellent focal point. Black Sphalerite tetrahedral crystals with a strong luster grow at the base part. Small Pyrite crystals are seen too. In very good condition – some small nicks and contacts. On acrylic base.
