Very rare specimen of Barroisite-Hornblende series with Albite from a new find in this uncommon locality - Kanarata quarry, Hlyabovo, Bulgaria. A scientific research article was published about the minerals in the find. Barroisite is rare sodium-calcium amphibole. It displays green needle crystal, very delicate and thin needles to dense hairs. All of them are formed by Na-Ca Barroisite and Ca-Mg Hornblende series. Often the same crystal has Barroisite and Hornblende. Greener crystals are mainly Hornblende and the more delicate hairs are Barroisite. Colorless Albite crystal with high luster and sharp habit cover the base. In excellent condition. On acrylic base.
