Gorgeous crystal of gem vesuvianite from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The vesuvianite has an apple-green core to rich and saturated raspberry-fuchsia cap. The luster is strong and the crystal is glassy. This is among the most intense color which the mine produced in just one unique pocket. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some micro nicks. On acrylic base.
Killer color!
