Wonderful specimen of honey-orange colored Grossular Garnet crystals up to 9mm from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. They are transparent, gem quality with superb luster and deep rich color. The Grossular contrasts strongly on white Albite base. The crystals have from rhombic dodecahedral to trapezohedral habit with sharp crystallization. They have nice striations characteristic for Jeffrey mine. With such amazing gemminess, glassy luster and irresistible color it is truly a choice Garnet from this great and closed mine. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In good condition – some small nicks and contacts. On acrylic base.

Magnificent!
