Superb specimen of Corundum var. Ruby crystal on black Muscovite from Zazafotsy Quarry, Fianarantsoa Province, Madagascar. The Ruby crystal of 18mm sits attractively at the top of the Muscovite base and it forms an excellent focal point. It has purple color to some yellow-brown areas, sharp prismatic shape and it is complete all over. The luster is strong. It displays some slight gemminess. In excellent condition. On acrylic base.
