Superb specimen of skeletal Galena, Chalcopyrite and Sphalerite decorating attractively a Quartz base from 9th Septemvri mine, Madan ore field, Bulgaria. It displays very neat and geometrical arrangement of stacked and aligned Galena crystals overgrowing each other. Excellent parallel growth of cubes and elongated tetragonal prisms on different axes. They grow one atop another forming amazing terraced structures. The faces are matt lustrous. Yellow Chalcopyrite crystals and black Sphalerite intergrow by very neat manner with the Galena. One epitaxially orientated Chalcopyrite stands isolated over a single Sphalerite crystal. In very good condition – some small nicks and contacts. On acrylic base.
