Colorful specimen of bright and gemmy blue Lazulite crystals with Siderite from Rapid Creek - the famous phosphate deposits of Yukon. Lazulite is a rare magnesium aluminum phosphate and some of the finest come from this locality. Lazulite crystals are sharp, highly lustrous, very well formed, monoclinic, deep indigo blue to royal blue colored. The most amazing aspect is the gemminess of the crystals – they are transparent with marvelous and saturated blue-green colors. Yellow-brown Siderite crystals cover the base and give a strong contrast. It displays all over 360 degree. Some contacts. On acrylic base.
Wonderful!
