Beautiful specimen of sharp Garnet var. Andradite crystals on Hedenbergite base from Serifos Island, Greece. Rhombic dodecahedral Andradite crystals up to 13mm are nestled on green Hedenbergite. The Garnets are with pleasant brown color, very well crystallized, with sharp edges and matt lustrous. They are very well isolated and they form an excellent focal point at the top.  The matrix is of parallel Hedenbergite columns, growing in a cluster. Small Quartz is seen too. In very good condition – some base part contact. On acrylic base.
