Killer top quality thumbnail Manganoan Vesuvianite specimen with intergrowing crystals sticking out all over from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The perfectly flat terminated crystals are gem. They have an amazing color variation from apple-green core, purple to very saturated and rich fuchsia-purple at the caps. The luster is very strong and the crystals are transparent and glassy. That is the most intense color which the mine produced in just one single pocket. The colorfulness of the specimen is gorgeous. It displays attractively all over 360 degree. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some small nicks. On acrylic base.
The best Vesuvianite color in the world!
