Excellent Cuprite crystal with sharp octahedral shape and strong luster from the famous Poteryaevskoe Mine, Rubtsovskoe deposit, Russia. It has metallic faces and super luster. One small crystal grows above in penetration twinning. On a very strong back light the tip shows striking red color and some translucence. It displays from all sides. For references see the issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 45, # 4, July-August 2014. In very good condition – some small nicks. On acrylic base.
