Beautiful specimen of botryoidal Shattuckite decorated sculpturally by Dioptase and Calcite from Tantara Mine, Congo-Kinshasa. The secondary Copper silicate Shattuckite grows in a delicate crust. It has light blue color and velvet appearance. The Dioptase crystals have rich green color, good luster and they are well formed. On the back side of the Dioptase are seen small spherical Shattuckite spots. Colorless Calcite is seen too. In very good condition - some outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.
Overwhelming!
