Beautiful and not often seen specimen of Quartz var. Amethyst from Balkhash, Karaganda Region, Kazakhstan. It displays one 15mm Amethyst crystal standing attractively of a cream base with sculptural 360 degree exposition. It has pleasing violet color with strong transparency and colorless strip at the center. The crystal is very well formed, sharp and free-standing. Some small colorless Quartz crystals are seen too. In excellent condition. On acrylic base.
