Striking specimen of Vesuvianite var. Manganoan crystals growing in an elongated stalactite like cluster from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The pointy terminated crystals are sharp and gem. They have an amazing purple color to minor apple-green at the caps. The luster is strong and the crystals are glassy. That is among the most intense and saturated purple color which the mine produced. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In good condition – some contacts. On acrylic base.
Gorgeous!
