Fascinating specimen of gem Garnet var. Grossular var. Chromian with Diopside from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The Grossular crystals are gem and clear up to 2mm. They have deep and saturated grass-green color due to Chromium. The Garnets are with sharp crystallization, glassy luster and irresistible color. Some crystals have green cores which are result of Chromium and surrounded by transparent colorless areas. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. Some contacts.
