Cool specimen of Corundum var. Ruby on a white Marble base from Jegdalek ruby deposit, Afghanistan. The crystals up to 16mm have rich fuchsia color. They are well shaped. The luster is good. It is slightly translucent and it displays some gemminess. The white base gives a superb contrast.  In very good condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.
