Fabulous grass-green colored Chromian Vesuvianite crystals – the rarest and most desirable color from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The sharply terminated crystals to 14mm have very saturated green color due to Chromium. The crystals are with pointy tip. The quality is very good – gemmy crystals with lustrous faces which strongly reflect the light. Rare Chromian Vesuvianite from this great now closed mine. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – one contact on the smaller crystal at the back side. On acrylic base.
Gorgeous!
